At the tender age of five, homeless pets are often considered senior. This label-although often
misleading- can significantly decrease their chance of being adopted into a loving home. Recognizing
the need to help these deserving older pets, San Diego's animal shelters with the help of Senior Mutt
Match are hosting the Super Senior Pet Adoption Weekend, June 9th, 10th and 11th.
The Super Senior Pet Adoption Weekend is a unique cooperative event that brings nine San Diego
shelters, both public and private, together to promote the adoption of their deserving older pets.
Animal shelters from Oceanside to Chula Vista are participating and discounts and promotions vary by
shelter.
